Each chapter has different levels which range from simply surviving till the end of a level to killing a specific target. Throughout the game, you have to complete different chapters to progress through the story. The game ends with Diana welcoming Agent 47 back to the ICA, thanking him for his help in protecting her and Victoria. He ends up exposing Travis, the central figure in the evil plot of cloning assassins and it is then revealed that he never killed Diana, rather intentionally shot her, injuring her just enough to convincingly fake her death. The rest of the storyline follows 47, now a traitor on the move, as he tries to escape ICA and the police, while trying to protect the genetically engineered Victoria and finding proofs to clear his and Diana’s names.
